Eagles End Remarkable Season with 21-3 Record, Coach Boggs is OHSAA Co-Coach of the Year!

The Lady eagles season came to a close last night, losing to Fisher Catholic in the District Semi-Final match at Pickerington North High School.  Delaware exchanged wins with the Fighting Irish for the first four games, winning games two and four 25-19 & 25-15, but then got behind in game five to watch it slip by 10-15.   Chelsea Howard lead the Eagles at the net with 16 kills in 32 attempts, supported by Brenna McCullough, Lenora Boyer and Wendy Ferrigno each supplying  14, 11 and 7 kills respectively.  Sarah Harp went 31 for 35 in digs with 38 serve receives while Haley Kirby set 151 times in the match with 40 assists.   Though the Eagles tournament run came to an end a few games earlier than they had hoped for, their standout season which included an undefeated 12-0  MOCAL Championship, the sixteen game winning streak,  and 21-3 overall record is remarkable in itself.

Coach Jackie Boggs shares the honor of OHSAA, Central District, Div. IV Co-Coach of the Year with Shekinah's Jerry Troyer. This is the first time in school history one of our coaches has been named to this honor in OHSAA. Congratulations Coach and team!
