Eagles Stretch Record to 19-2 with Win Over Fairfield Knights

The Lady Eagles took their MOCAL winning streak on the road last night to Fairfield Christian where they beat the Knights in three games, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-17.    Traffic delays and the hour-and-a-half long trip couldn’t dampen Delaware’s solid play on the court lead by Lenora Boyer’s 10 kills, followed by Wendy Ferrigno’s 7 kills, and Brenna McCullough and Becca Hughes each with 6.  The Eagles served up 21 aces during the match while Haley Kirby was 61/62 setting with 24 assists and Libero Sarah Harp went 15/15 in serve-receives  with 6 digs.  On defense,  Brenna, Becca, Wendy, Lenora and Chelsea Howard provided a combined 21/25 in serve receives and 32 digs, sealing the night in victory.  The Eagles face Madison Christian at Madison this Thursday for their last scheduled season game.

The JV team also won last night. The Middle School volleyball team lost in three sets, no scores reported.
