Lady Eagles Clinch Undefeated 12-0 MOCAL Season

Last night, the Lady Eagles wrapped up a perfect conference season beating Madison Christian on the road in three games 25-10, 25-19 and 26-24.  The Eagles claimed sole possession of the MOCAL Championship last week when defeating visiting Tree of Life in three games at home, however Coach Boggs had even higher expectations of this varsity squad.   With this week's victories over Fairfield and Madison, the Eagles can now add Undefeated 12-0 Conference Season to the growing list of 2011 accomplishments.  During the match with Madison, the Eagles collectively delivered 75 serves and 12 aces, 102 hits with 34 kills, and a combined 105 serve-receives and digs.  At the core of this years DCS powerhouse team are seniors Wendy Ferrigno (OH), Sarah Harp (Libero), Chelsea Howard (MH), Becca Hughes (MH), Haley Kirby (Setter), and Juniors Lenora Boyer (OH) and Brenna McCullough (RS).    Delaware is seeded #2 in the Div IV Central Ohio Section and will face Village Academy on Saturday, October 22 at Westerville South HS in round two of the Sectional Tournament.



The DCS JV team also secured an undefeated season record with a come from behind victory in game two of last night's matchup with Madison, while the Junior High team went down in two.
