Middle School Soccer Places Second in MOCAL Tourney

The Middle School Soccer team made it to the finals of the MOCAL Soccer tournament and placed 2nd after losing 4-2 to Granville Christian Academy. Granville was 15-0 coming into the game where DCS was a heavy underdog.

DCS came out and played their best soccer of the year, going up by a score of 2-0 in the first 10mn of the game. The Eagles were leading 2-1 at halftime. The first goal was scored by Daniel Fisher off an assist from Wes Blakemore. The second goal was scored by Colton Bess off an assist from Justin Malisiak. The speed and depth (10 subs compared to 2 subs for the Eagles) of Granville eventually took a toll as they evened the score and took the lead with about 10mn to play in the second half. Parents and supporters of the Eagles came out in strong support at the Grove City stadium to cheer on the Eagles who gave their best effort, just coming up short.

The Eagles final 2011 record was 9-6-1.
