Soccer Team Honored for Successful Season

The Varsity soccer team closed the season as 2011 OHSAA District Finalists, making school history for the second time. The team and GK Luke McGrath tallied 8 shutouts and 14 goals allowed on the season. The team finished 12-3 on the season. Coach Levi Witt was named MOCAL Coach of the Year.

The post season awards went to: Brock Bishop, Pete Kerinsr; MOCAL Honorable Mention, Jackson Quist, Luke McGrath; MOCAL Second Team, Ryan Zinn, Jeremy Buchanan; MOCAL First Team.

Defensive Player of the Year: Luke McGrath (85 saves), and Pete Kerins

Offensive Player of the Year: Jackson Quist, 18 goals, 8 assists

Jeremy and Ryan are the only graduating seniors. The 2011 Varsity Soccer Team has also been nominated for the OHSAA  Excellence in Sportsmanship Award.
