Volleyball Advances to District Semi-Finals

Saturday afternoon, the Lady Eagles  faced Village Academy in the second round of tournament play, quickly defeating the Griffins in three games, 25-8, 25-14 and 25-9.   Points quickly added up with Haley Kirby’s 8 aces in 18 attempts and Wendy Ferrigno’s 11 aces in 16 attempts.  Chelsea Howard added 5 aces in 8 attempts as well as 5 kills at the net.  Brenna McCullough and Sarah Harp each added 4 kills, with Wendy adding 3 more.  Coach Boggs, not wanting to show the full strength of the Eagles to future tournament opponents,  mixed up the lineup utilizing the full bench of reserve players throughout the match.  Delaware faces Fisher Catholic Thursday evening at 7:30 PM at Pickerington North High School for the District semi-final match.
