Student Contests and Camps

The AAA Traffic Safety Poster Contest is open to students in grades K-12. The winner could receive a cash prize of $25, $50, 475, $100, or $250. Age categories are K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Entries must be received by March 7^th. Details are in the school office or from art teacher, Mrs. Price.

The Kroger “I Can Make History” Contest is open to students in grades 4-12. Students will honor Black History Month though art, essay or poetry. $30,000 in scholarships, laptops or zoo memberships will be offered to winners. For an entry form, see the school office. Deadline is February 28^th.

Dominican College will host Ohio Business Week June 19-25 for interested 10-12^th graders.  Attendees will develop leadership skills and gain business experience and have fun in a college setting. The camp is sponsored by Ohio businesses to promote free enterprise development. Cost is $350. Applications are in the school office and are due April 29^th.

6-8^th grade students with a standardized test score in the 95^th percentile or have otherwise demonstrated exceptional talent, creativity or leadership ability may attend the OWU Gifted Program summer camp at Ohio Wesleyan University.
