Kindergarten
In kindergarten the students are provided with the basic phonics skills for reading, language and spelling. Discovering what makes things float or sink or just watching plants grow is a small part of our science curriculum. In math we learn how to tell time, add and subtract, and count to 100 in a lot of different ways. Bible class teaches us about Bible heroes and how Jesus wants us to live. We also learn 20 Bible verses!
This year the class traveled to Circle K Farm and enjoyed a hay ride, picked a pumpkin, and found our way through a maze. This spring the class will tour COSI. Little students also enjoy gym class, music class and library. Our full-day kindergarten is a five-day class. Each child is tested prior to admission to ensure readiness and maturity. Mrs. JoAnn Sapoval is our teacher.
