Missions Trips

World-wide outreach is important to the individual's spiritual growth. DCS students have the opportunity to participate in several evangelistic outreaches.

The Spanish Club travels bi-annually to select Spanish-speaking countries. The spring 2010 trip will be to Costa Rica. These trips are open to any DCS student and their families. Past trips have been to Portugal, Argentina, Guatemala, Chile and Peru.  Organizing the trip is Mr. and Mrs. Ron Morton.  The Mortons spent 11 years as Word of Life missionaries in Chile before returning to the U.S. where Pam taught Spanish at Delaware Christian for 10 years.  Ron has continued as a full time missionary with Word of Life's Nehemiah Network.

In recent years the Mortons have taken DCS students and interested parents to Word of Life camps in Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, and in 2007, France, Spain, and Portugal.  The 2007 trip so impacted DCS students Lydia Scoles (graduate 2007) and junior Paige Warnock, that the girls returned to the Portugal camp for the entire summer and now are seriously considering a career in missions.

The Navajo Team is comprised of DCS students and is sponsored by Delaware Bible Church. The Navajo team ministers to the Navajo Indians in Kayenta, Arizona.
