I became a teacher because...: When I came to the realization that life was truly short, I realized that I needed to make the most of it. To do so, I would want to impact the world the best way I can. For me, my biggest influence aside from family came from the teachers at Christ the King School. So I decided to teach and continue Spanish. Then I later realized that I have been teaching my entire life. So I teach for two reasons: to make a difference in this world and because it is who I am.
My favorite thing about DC...: The true focus on a positive environment. That is hard to find in schools these days. (I know, I've looked!).
Most memorable moment in teaching so far...: I had a student finally understand how it worked. She had struggled with it for quite some time, and it "clicked" when I was explaining it. The look on her face when she understood..
When not at school I enjoy...: ...painting, watching movies, running, biking, speaking Spanish, volunteering, & cooking Argentinean recipes.
I am currently learning...: ...everything? No, but as a new teacher, there is a lot to learn. I am currently learning how Paul discusses having the mind of Christ and what He means by renewing.
My students do not know that I...: Studied tango for four months.
